NTT - In the context of a working visit to the Korem 161/Wira Sakti area (NTT Province), Pangdam IX/Udayana Major General TNI Harfendi, S.I.P., M.Sc., and Head of Persit KCK PD IX/Udayana Ny. Tika Harfendi were welcomed by Danrem 161/WS Brigadier General Febriel Buyung Sikumbang, S.H., M.M., and Forkopimda East Nusa Tenggara in the VIP Room at El Tari Airport, Kupang, on Monday, October 23, 2023.
On this first day, the agenda for Pangdam IX/Udayana's Working Visit was to go straight to Mako Yonarhanud 9/AWJ to meet face-to-face with all the soldiers of Brigif 21/Komodo, Yonif 743/PSY, Yonarmed 20/BY, Yonarhanud 9/AWJ, Ki Kav 2 Denkav 4/SP, and Ki Zipur C Yonzipur 18/YKR. Meanwhile, the Head of Persit KCK PD IX/Udayana paid a visit to Mako Yonarmed 20/BY to provide guidance to Persit mothers throughout the unit.
Arriving at Mako Yonarhanud 9/AWJ, the Military Commander was greeted with chants of pride for their respective units by all the soldiers. After receiving the report from Danbrigif 21/Komodo Lt. Col Inf Andi Adriyanto Wibowo, S.Sos., M.L.Pol., Pangdam IX/Udayana gave a briefing that began with introducing himself. Pangdam IX/Udayana said that as a soldier, you must make every effort to maintain and build a unit with all limitations.
"All soldiers, regardless of rank, must be disciplined. High or low rank is part of destiny and fortune; we don't want to always look tall and look up so that we are given ease of success and health. Be grateful for what you have now, and then Allah will increase our blessings," said Pangdam IX/Udayana.
Facing the upcoming 2024 elections, the military commander reminded us to maintain neutrality in the democratic election celebrations. Apart from that, the Military Commander also emphasized that TNI soldiers should not be involved in practical politics in the elections, which means not to interfere, take sides, influence, or take part in activities in the elections. "We must remain neutral in the elections, even though it is the TNI's job to provide assistance to the Polri in maintaining security at every stage of the elections," stressed the Military Commander.
After giving the briefing, Pangdam IX/Udayana gave a certificate of appreciation to Serda Mario Bere from Yon Armed 20/BY for his achievements in winning 4th place in the World Level International Kempo Tournament in Japan.

Meanwhile, after giving direction to all Persit members, the Head of Persit KCK PD IX/Udayana carried out an inspection of Posyandu Yon Armed 20/BY, Pos Yandu, TK, and Paud Brigif 21/Komodo, and Pos Yandu Yon Arhanud 9/AWJ. (Pendam IX/Udy)
