Lombok Tengah-Pangdam IX/Udayana Mayjen TNI Harfendi, S.IP., M.Sc., arrived at Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport (BIZAM) and welcomed Danrem 162/WB Briggen TNI Agus Bhakti, SIP, M.I.P. M.Han., and his companions. Then Pangdam and his crew headed to the Mandalika circuit to check the readiness of the security post and the location of the VVIP room for the visit of the President of the Republic of Indonesia. The arrival of Pangdam IX/Udayana was accompanied by Asops Kasdam VIII/Udy and Waasintel Kasdam IX/Udy to ensure the preparedness of the troops in the security of the arrival of RI President Ir. Joko Widodo, who will attend the MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit Lombok. "All troops should increase alertness and carry out patrols and security around the circuit area and a number of other strategic points around Lombok," he said.
Further, Pangdam said that the MotoGP at the Mandalika Circuit, one of the largest sports events in the world, is expected to attract the world's attention and increase tourism in Lombok. Pangdam expects maximum security and close coordination with the intention of ensuring that the MotoGP event runs smoothly and safely.
Pangdam also informed us that during the visit of President Kodam IX/Udayana, he also coordinated with the West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (NTB) and the event organizers for the arrangement of traffic lines as well as establishing security posts to keep the situation conducive around the circuit and the nearest areas.
